Most of the household generation sources are photovoltaic (PV) installations. Others include wind farms, hydropower stations and even biogas plants. Currently, the installed capacity of the microgeneration installations connected to the network of Energa Operator is 245 MW. It increased by over 46 MW in the first quarter of 2020.

Due to the coronavirus epidemic, special precautions are taken when connecting microgeneration installations and installing bi-directional meters. Fitters are equipped with gloves and protective masks. Customers are also asked to use personal protection equipment, as well as to use their own pen if they need to sign a certificate. It is also extremely important for customers to keep a safe distance while the fitters are working.

Besides, Energa Operator is gradually taking actions for connecting larger RES installations. 37 such new sources were connected to the medium voltage network in Q1 2020 with the total installed capacity of nearly 70 MW. In the same period last year, 13 new installations with the capacity of almost 11 MW in total were connected.
